Islan Cinema is a project in current development, which was funded by the National Council for Culture and the Arts, Government of Chile.

The project aims to create a space for training, creation and reflection on the audiovisual language and the body for young people that promotes the valorization of the identity of the insular territories and their habitants, in order to decentralize access to culture and build the imaginary of an insular cinema from the perspective and artistic discourse of the young people who inhabit these territories.

The project will end with an audiovisual work made in four island territories of Chile: Robinson Crusoe Island, Easter Island, Chiloé Island and Navarino Island.
